Anyone is welcome to read my page. If you friend and later unfriend, no hard feelings.
Details: If you want to see my LJ on your reading page (friend), feel free. I may or may not friend back, depending on what I see in your recent posts and my mood at the time. I lock very few of my entries, and those are personal stuff, for close friends; you won't miss anything if I don't friend you back.
I'm a single, 50-ish, school speech therapist, owned by two horses, and a couple of dozen feral cats. I live in southeast New Mexico -- hot, dry, and dusty. I'm a dyed-in-the wool aficionado of Jim-&-Blair (they go together, forever), and have become equally fond of John-&-Rodney. I read in several other fandoms, if someone points out a particular story, or if I'm in the mood (and have time) to browse.
My posting 'schedule' (Ha!) is erratic, at best. Don't expect anything earth-shattering here. I use LJ and DW to crow about a few accomplishments, or vent about life's little irritations; sometimes I get all excited about "nature" as it appears in my little corner of the world, or rant about life or news as it pertains to feminism. However, many of my intended posts never get written because I have too many irons in the fire, and no time to create an involved, carefully-worded post.
I enjoy reading and discussing gen and slash fanfiction, although (so far) I mostly write gen in the Sentinel fandom. I post my completed stories here, or at least link to a new story at my fic sites, but keep the unfinished stuff to myself and my advisor. (Although, human nature being what it is, that attitude may change.) I tend to lurk on a lot of lists, and read a lot of LJs and DWs; my commenting is as sporadic as my posting, although I can be quite wordy when the spirit moves. What you see is what you get; if you want to read me, welcome aboard.
